When Neil Armstrong first planted that American flag on the surface of the moon, I imagine he felt pretty proud. Maybe as proud as I felt when I saw our national flag on a toothpick planted in the middle of a thick, well-marbled Canadian steak in China.

Anyone for a burger?

Sadly last summer the wife of a friend died of colon cancer. She had for the last thirty years of her 50 something life, been a very devout health and wellness practitioner and advocate. She operated a herbal store, ate more veggies and greens than most, didn't smoke and generally was the quintessential poster girl for healthy living.
